Behaviour specialist – Mentor – Youth Worker
I am a Criminology & Youth Studies graduate with nearly 10 years of experience in the Youth sector. My adept knowledge of working with youth in both a formal and informal capacity has allowed me to engage and impact a plethora of young people.
I am currently offering my services for short and long term youth mentorship.
Leon Al Bakry
Mentor - Youth Worker
I am currently working part time as a Student Support Assistant and Mentor at a secondary school in Cambridgeshire. My work focuses on building trust and relationships with disengaged students; helping them to reflect, empathise and practice gratitude. I was a professional actor for 5 years before deciding to fully commit to helping young people. My passion for change started when I spent time working with the Kinsella Trust in London educating at risk teenagers on the impact of knife crime. I launched my own mentoring company in 2019 with the aim of guiding young people to a better, more positive future.
I am available to deliver engaging workshops to groups or in 1-to-1 sessions.
Tutor - mentor - podcast host
I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Social Psychology at City University of New York Graduate Center and Adjunct Lecturer with an MA in Public Administration and a BA in Sociology, Political Science and African American History. As a former Youth Worker for over ten years, I incorporate those facilitation skills into my teaching making it more accessible to any learning style.
I am currently offering 1-to-1 tutoring and mentoring services for High School, Undergrad and Grad students in Sociology, Social Psychology, Gender Studies, Political Science and African American History.
